juice press
juice press is the raw juice and smoothie bar of the future. first of all we have a paradigm about nutrition and we are sticking to it. you won’t find red bull or kit kat bars next to unrippened bananas. you wont find processed foods in our fridges. instead we insist on using organic raw produce and top notch supplements. we cold press our juices on norwalk machines and mostly everything we serve is homemade from almond and hemp milks to our world famous raw oatmeal and chia seed pudding.
juice press produces an incredibly complex menu consisting of 100% organic { cold pressed juices }, gourmet superfood smoothies, raw food entrees, salads, sandwiches, and desserts that includes our vegan chocolates, vegan cheese cakes, and teas. we sprout raw nuts to produce the wonderful creations from chef jermain jonas and chef daniel sage.
we take pride in the integrity of the products we produce. we consume the products we create every day and live the lifestyle we promote. our goal is to build juice press as big as it can grow and maintain the original feeling and vibe of our first store in the east village. love it or leave it!
the mission
the founders of the juice press, marcus antebi & alain palinsky share a common vision about a healthier cleaner living. true we are less than conservative characters. have you ever met anyone in the health industry that wasn’t a bit nuts?
marcus antebi, is currently eating a diet consisting of 80% raw food with a small amount of cooked veggies daily and the occasional sprouted grain bread. no drugs. no alcohol. 26 years sober broham! no dairy. no soy. lots of green juice. lots of stress. dangerous sports!
alain is a raw nut himself and 60-70% raw and is working on increasing his intake of raw foods. alain takes the occasional trip to moscow and partakes in animal flesh. we love alain.
our mentor and nutritional guide is fred bisci, phd. fred is a regular customer at the juice press and we are proud to offer his book at cost to those interested in “discovering their body’s full potential”. fred is truly 100% raw for more than 42 years. he is a living icon of integrity and food science. he mentors thousands of people including doctors and other raw foodists.
we share fred’s premise of “what you leave out from your diet is the key.” furthermore his “real fresh food approach” has been our guide in designing our full menu. fred will vouch for the integrity of our establishments as he is a close friend and regular patron of ours.
the diet that much of the world is consuming today is making us sick, obese, and degenerate faster than what the human body is capable of. the conventional knowledge in nutrition is in many ways confussing the general public to what is really going on in our chemistry. juice press hopes to clear up some confussion in what we ‘teach’ and we intend to continue to make eating correctly delicious, fun, and fashionable.

the founders:
marcus antebi – ceo & founder
i was born in the age of cookie crisp and captain crunch cereals being “a part of this complete breakfast”. my parents fed me processed corn and mountains of sugar floating in bowl of pasteurized cow milk. a disgrace and a tragedy. it took me 20 years to break my terrible addiction to processed foods and refined sugars. i started refining my diet at age 13 by reducing the quantity of peanut butter cups from nine a day to 3 a day. this progression into eating raw foods and drinking fresh juices has been an amazing journey. i learn more and more every day. i’m incredibly blessed to have fred bisci on “speed dial”. i call him practically everyday with questions i can not find answers to. | sports: i was a pretty good rock climber in my early 20′s until i found skydiving. i played ultimate frisbee in a league and drove my body into the ground for years sprinting back and forth like a lunatic on dirt fields. i immersed myself in skydiving for over a decade. parachutes are fun! i owned a parachute equiptment retail store and a large mail order business that produced educational videos and books. in 2003 i started thai boxing and fought competitively for several years. i phased out skidiving to train and fight. i still train at a competitve level and dream of returning to the ring one more time. my trainer omar tells me that he motvates athletes 20 years younger than me by telling them they should be more like me! i do 2 hour rounds with him from time to time and i will never quit. im 43 and feel like i am 22. i will live strong and healthy and i will make a powerful positive mark in the food industry.
alain palinsky – cfo & founder
alain palinsky. alain. alain. alain. i often hate to admit it, but i’d be lost with out this kid. alain latched himself onto this juice press project while i was constructing the first store in the east village. we fought like cats and dogs from the start but eventually found peace and tranquility. alain has brought many crucial components and i enjoy the guys company. what can i say? his heart is always in the right place and he is a driving force of our shared success. i love you alain! | sports: alain was a completive tennis player and remains an extraordinary athlete with extensive knowledge in nutrition and healing through diet. over the years alain has developed a broad range of ideas through his consistent education in the field. he has attended numerous nutrition courses in different programs around the world. alain has also had the ability to teach and train tennis players while attending university. he still continues to offer health advice and training methods from his vast experience. in recent years, alain had consulted for Medi-Zone, a medical weight loss protocol developed by dr. jay garcia approved by mr. sears. alain has held a variety of position’s within numerous fields. his wide range of experience offers a helping hand to any customer that may need assistance to develop a health regiment. thanks alain!
chef jermain jonas – head chef
jermain jonas – current head chef. absolute genius and a great guy. best raw food chef in world. miracle worker with raw desserts! jermaine has been working in the natural food industry for more than 12 years. he graduated from institute of culinary education and has designed and implemented the raw food menus at many of the top raw food places in and around new york city. working closely with these two nuts, marcus and alain, he developed a solid menu of instant classics!
mark teixeira – partner
mr. teixeira was introduced to me by a mutual friend at the end of 2011. i had no idea who he was at that time. he was just some fellow asking about opening a juice press in connecticut. next thing i know, we’re knee deep in paper work! mark teixeira is a role model for me. he’s an admirable father and husband and an aggressive business man. he is an active partner in juice press and is integrating the raw food and green juice paradigm into his diet. oh, yeah, he’s also the first baseman for the new york yankees. we are truly honored for the opportunity to learn from him and share in his vision of helping others to find health and success in their lives.
kenny dichter – partner
kenny! his name should be a verb! kenny founded a small company called marquis jets which was recently sold to Berkshire Hathaway (warren buffet). no big deal. kenny and i met at the end of 2011 and on a plane ride to nowhere we struck a deal with the details writen on a marquis jet’s napkin. kenny and mr. teixeira bought into juice press in january 2012. kenny is a brilliant marketing man and his leadership skill will help alain and i build this company properly maintaining its original integrity. thanks mr. kenny.
mark baker – pr/share holder
mark baker is our partner in the night life marketing and public relations aspect of the cleanse. his extensive experience in pr and marketing and his incredible relationships with a diverse range of people make him the perfect spokesperson for the juice press.
daniel sage – master raw food chef
daniel was born in the wrong century in many ways. if juice press were an old outpost or a general store in montana in 1834 and there were trappers, gold minners, outlaws, natives, and law men rolling though for raw food smoothies and cold pressed juices, daniel is the perfect front man. daniel is a brilliant raw food chef with a great deal of integrity and we thank him for his postive vibes and powerful contributions.
david antebi – principle owner of 62nd street
david antebi. what can we say? father of marcus. what more can one say? 18 months after the juice press started downtown, david decided to get on board. we offered him the uptown territory and he built a wonderful 1100 sq/ft store on 62nd street and third avenue. david is a old-school retailer with a long history in luxury goods. prior to the uptown juice press, david had several successful art and antique galleries in the midtown area. he shares our passion for quality and service and is adopting a raw food and green juice diet. struggling with it as he may, he has lost 23 pounds since we opened his uptown location. increasing his knowledge base of the nutrition industry. way to go dave!
silvano guzman – general manager
hard working, good looking, always in a great mood, (unless we run out of ginger). silvano’s buff chest is a great assest to juice press line up of fabulous people. we’re in the process of building a seperate store just to fit his chest. thanks silvano.
beatty – general manager
beatty is his surname. it also means “weird hat” in latvian. first names are too good for him! beatty was noticed stealing loose melons from the back of fruit truck on east first street. we recognized his talent for picking the freshest ripest fruit, so we hired him. beatty is a hard working manager waiting to be poached by our competitors seeking long term arrangements. weird dude but he gets it. that’s why we keep him around. love that guy.
ben jacobson – public relations
hell yeah! edgy and loud. brilliant and weird, BJ is the backbone of 1st and 1st. the man knows about every movie ever made which really has nothing to do with juice. test his knowledge next time he’s making you a smoothie. he wears his hoodie over his baseball cap and therefore looks like the guy who stole my bicycle in brooklyn last year. don’t let that fool you. he’s the man. deal closer: ben jacobson.
mr. tulio – general manager
marco tulio echeverria has been working with the antebi family since 1979. back in beverly hills 90210 in the early art gallery days, tulio developed his life long relationship with david. tulio moved his family to new york to stay with david and marcus throughout the years in the many retail stores the antebi family operated. his service and loyality are proving invaluable to us again. tulio is the general manager of 62nd street as well as david’s junior partner. good job tulio!

fury pink head phones and a hello kitty cell phone cover.
polo guzman
with 10 years of experience as a chef, polo jumped on the jp production line when his brother silvano put him up to the mission of helping jp become the greatest raw food outlet in the world. ever since his knife hit the board, he has consistently turned out incredible raw dishes day after day. every now and then, when the wind settles, and clarity of mind is reached between massaging batches of kale, he graces us with his words of wisdom that most certainly always starts with: “you know, in my home country…”. we cannot thank him enough for knocking our fabulously organic dishes out of the park everyday at incredible speed and precision.
