a common motivating force is weight loss. we’ve discovered that many people find a juice cleanse fascinating from a weight loss vantage point. juicing is actually the perfect weight control and weight loss paradigm provided that you have realistic goals. the two reasons you must lose weight regardless of all other possible variables are: (1) during a cleanse you’re leaving out cooked and processed foods; and (2) you’re in a calorie deficit.

our most popular cleanse is now the basic 6 juice per day cleanse. most people do 4 or 5 days. this is a short term cleanse relative to what most of our clients achieve. seven to fifteen days is worth considering for deeper cellular cleansing and easy to achieve.
bare in mind, it’s not the juice alone that is performing mystical or magical work. it’s the simple fact that during that period you are leaving out processed foods, bad food combinations, overeating, etc.  when we do this, the body is allowed to do what it is designed to do: heal. this is simple biology and chemistry — nothing that a doctor could deny. on a raw juice or raw food cleanse one the body’s first healing response is to shed weight it doesn’t need. (this is completely unscientific and based solely on observing several thousand people do cleanses. there’s more to it). on a cleanse you’re in a calorie deficit. a day or two into a cleanse your body becomes far more efficient at using the calories you’re taking in. as time goes on in a cleanse you’ll feel like you need less while feeling like you have more energy. 

with the typical modern diet you need more food because you’re getting less of the basic nutrients. therefore, we typically consume far more calories just to get through the day. we’re always hungry and we need more and more stimulation from our food. the payback for this type of lifestyle is that we are gaining weight and aging ourselves faster than what is natural.

if you are concerned with feeling low energy, it is a possibility. to a toxic body raw juice is a superfood. it is low calorie and nutrient dense. however, there are emotional factors that are connected to your regular eating habits. most diets are highly stimulating. this is not  positive stimulation. it’s stimulation that is causing more wear and tear on the organs. but we are addicted to it. so without it we can feel low energy, depressed, and/or anxious. these are temporary physical feelings that come and go during a cleanse and pass as your body gets more and more efficient. there are vital forces, including electrical forces, that exist in raw (non-pasteurized) juices and foods. but without abstaining from processed foods and lifestyle mistakes you can drink green juice all day long and still be in poor health.

to us the solution is simple. however, because there are emotional and pyschological components involved with our eating habits it’s difficult to achieve success and make changes too quickly.

we feel that the reason juice fasting is gaining popularity is because no matter what your motivation for starting is, if you stick with a fast long enough you’ll achieve positive results on more than one level.

women and men lose weight differently. it’s reasonable to assume that during a 3 day cleanse you might release 2lbs. of water. only to feel disappointed upon reintroducing your normal diet and rehydrating the same 2lbs. of water right back in. some people have reported a 14lb. weight loss in 10 days! did he burn a fat or lose lean muscle tissue or simply lose a lot of water weight. we can’t answer for him. the results are all unpredictable for rapid weight loss seekers. unless a lifestyle plan is considered, most people regain everything they lose right back. © m. antebi 2010

you have to think long term lifestyle changes to see lasting results. crash diets don’t work! sadly, most diets actually lead to weight gain and an unhealthy body. the modern mind wants a “get-skinny-quick pill”. there are none. anything that promises fast results with little effort will make you sick and probably balloon in size.

here’s what’s making us sick and overweight: we eat too much, poor food combinations, eating too many meals every day, eating refined and processed foods, too much cooked foods, and not enough exercising. these points are generalizations. they don’t take into account several other factors. with our juice cleanse we eliminate all of your dietary mistakes. it’s as simple as just drinking several good tasting juices throughout the day your body is a miraculous machine with incredible healing abilities. when you get out of its way, amazing things happen. one of them will be weight control.

a three to five day cleanse will start the process of detoxing and most people do shed pounds regardless where those pounds came from, i.e.,( water, fat, muscle, etc.). a five day cleanse is a gateway into a deeper understanding of the possibilities from abstaining. with ten days, you’re really getting somewhere special and exhilarating. when you commit to ten or more days you should consult your physician first. determine the duration of your cleanse based on your goals. then determine the volume of juice to be taken on a daily basis.
nothing happens by chance. you discovered juicing for many more reasons than you may be aware at first. juicing is a discipline. those who know this work hard to really clear their digestive system out from a life time of error. when the blood is purified, the mind works better. this is simple science. if you keep to this path, and avoid extremes by maintaining a reasonable life style and food plan, you’ll not only lose weight, but you will release an incredible energy that comes from deep within. creativity, vitality, sexuality, and emotional stability are all driven to their highest levels and beyond your wildest dreams.

choose the duration of your cleanse and choose how many juices you want to drink each day, between 5 and 8.

try a one day cleanse just to see how it feels to be free from chewing and digesting. the goal of a one day cleanse is simple: make it through the day. reset your food plan or start a new one.

three to five day cleanses will require that beginners dig a little deeper into their reserves. most people find the second day harder if they are coffee drinkers. mild headaches occur from caffeine cravings. the headaches generally subside on the 3rd day. most people shed a few pounds in three to five days.

seven to ten day cleanses start stirring the toxic pot. toxic materials will free themselves from the cells in your body and make their way into your blood stream. it’s hard to determine if you will feel euphoric or drowsy. there are too many other variables. some people report that the longer the cleanse the easier it is. it takes people usually 2 days just to forget about food. some people spend three days in bed taking two baths, a massage, and a colonic everyday. others rest and others are restless. our most common profile are hard workers that want to make heroic visits to the gym during their cleanse. this type of stress will not allow your body to heal. you may lose weight due to a calorie deficit but you’re hardly cleansing.

no matter what type of cleanse you choose, be mindful and have a good time with it. find time daily to lay down and close your eyes. this is a form of dialysis. blood detoxing.

entertain good thoughts during a cleanse. remember, to a large degree what you think about will effect how well your body does on a cleanse. think positive if you can no matter what you are feeling. in other words your feelings are important because they are reactions to what is happening in the external world. but feelings are born from a thoughtful process. we are often not aware how much thought goes into what we feel. we can gently change the way we feel if we focus our thoughts on better things. it’s not easy. it takes practice. a juice cleanse should help illuminate a path to clear thought.
